Hiya!
Teacher Lukas
We meet at last!
(or are we meeting again?!)
Class Schedule Below
-
Hello, my name is Lukas!
I’m from a tiny town in the US that’s so small it might as well be nowhere at all.
I graduated from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania in Dec. 2014 with a degree in business.
After graduating, I began my teaching journey. I’ve taught in the US, Taiwan, and South Korea. And I’ve been lovin’ it!
That’s one of the biggest reasons you should sign up for a course.
A teacher who loves teaching has students who love class. :)
Besides all that, I like weightlifting, photography, and hiking. My favorite movie is The Seventh Seal. -
Upon payment, you’ll receive introductory emails about your class.
Classes are taught via Google Meet. It does not require a download. You will receive a video link before each class.
Students have the option to be added into a group on the Line app (requires download). Here, I will message students as a group and send materials.
If you prefer not to download Line, that’s fine! I will email you everything also.
Lesson plans will be sent weekly, at least two days before class, and possibly more than two days in advance.
After class ends, you’ll receive the following materials: (1) a study guide based on your feedback & notes; (2) a Quizlet link to flashcards for the notes from the study guide; and (3) a class recording.
That’s everything! Besides the above, just come to class ready to talk! -
Course Description
Each week, a new and compelling topic will be discussed as a group. Previous topics have included: personality, virtual reality, marriage, etc.
Through discussion, the class will understand different ways of seeing the world and our ideas about it.
A beautiful lesson plan will be sent to you before each class, but you do not need to prepare anything!
During class, it will be my priority to make sure everyone gets fair speaking time. All will be encouraged to expand their points of view.
You’ll get lots and lots of feedback based on your answers in class.
This will be done with typed notes during class. You’ll receive recommended vocabulary and phrases you could have used in your previous answer immediately after speaking.
The notes will help you sound like a more fluent English speaker! This will all be done in a relaxed, non-judgmental, and welcoming atmosphere for learning. :)
